HABITAT ATMOSPHERE LIGHT ORIENTATION

The philosophy of HALO Design Concepts is to provide clients with the best possible design outcome, taking into consideration our core values of Habitat, Orientation and natural Light which in turn creates the ultimate Atmosphere.
We have a passion for creating sustainable dwellings, as this not only has a positive impact on our planet but provides a building with a transparent level of comfort.
HALO Design Concepts take the time to understand what's important to each client, the way they live, their hobbies and passions, so that we can translate that into a design that personally reflects them.
Design Values
Habitat, meaning natural environment resonates with the core principals of HALO Design Concepts.
Creating spaces within a home that make living a naturally comfortable experience.
Simply through the atmosphere that has been created through good design.
Encouraging natural light into a space creates an experience your wellbeing will thank you for.
Through careful investigation, your home can be orientated so that you can draw in the supreme morning sun and are protected from the unwanted afternoon sun and heat.

HALO Design Concepts believe that the interior of a home is equally important to a beautiful aesthetic outside.
Drawing on past experience from interior design studies and extensive experience with a joinery business, HALO Design Concepts can ensure your next interior design project inspires you.

HALO Design Tips
01
North Light
Maximising northern light into living spaces is one of our main considerations when designing a space.
Inviting natural light into your home at the right time of day and season, will allow your home to function at a comfortable level, without the requirement for artificial heating and cooling.
At HALO, we use sun analysis tools to assess where you should position windows and other glazing to ensure your living spaces maximise the warmth of the sun in winter and natural light, without the heat in summer. Light filled living areas are beneficial in providing a positive environment for your home.
02
Cross Ventilation
Designing with cross ventilation in mind, is another key strategy we consider in every design at HALO.
Cross ventilation allows natural breezes to assist in eliminating the requirement for mechanical cooling systems.
Positioning window openings for cross flow will pull cool air in and push hot air out. Clerestory louvre windows are a great passive design solution to draw hot air out of a space in the warmer months.
03
Feel Good Spaces
Your home is your haven, a place to feel comfortable and relaxed. There are many design ideas that can induce an inviting atmosphere to a space. Embracing outdoor views is a clever way to do this.
Planning your design around existing or planned landscaping around your home can help bring the outside in.
A strategically placed picture window framing the view of an ornamental tree or garden can transform your internal space. Bringing the outdoors in with the use of windows, plant life, courtyards, light, orientation and views, will make indoor spaces feel warm and inviting.
